I would not recommend staying here if you have better options Positive: The property is walking distance from Liberty State Park if you are looking to visit Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. The light rail stop for Liberty State Park is convenient too Negative: There was a lot of false advertising in this booking. The description said that it included a sofa bed, but when we got there, it was just a sofa. We called the owner and he said he would buy a rollaway bed, and give us a coupon for free pizza, which we declined. The description said that breakfast was included but that was false too - all that was included was frozen pancakes and coffee / tea. There were ants on both the beds and in all the rooms. The apartment is a basement apartment and it accumulates junk from the street outside the front door. There were separate trash and recycle bins inside the apartment but the owner wants you to combine them in the trash bin outside the apartment. Parking on the street was very hard to find and we had to walk several blocks every day to find parking for our car.

I was surprised because the place was bigger than expected, two bedrooms and two bathrooms and everything was clean. It had everything we needed for a family of five. I have two boys (15 and 10) and a 9-month-old baby, and I couldn’t have been happier when I saw they had a crib! We used the gray crib. We came to Jersey from Boise, ID for my grandma’s 80th birthday, so we brought formal clothes. I was so happy they had a steamer, we left the house looking polished. They also had coffee pods in the breakfast nook, and the washer and dryer came with detergent pods. Even the dishwasher had pods, so you don’t have to bring anything if you stay here. I didn’t even use the hair dryer I brought because they had 2 available. Overall, it’s clean and very homey. It’s a great choice for a family with a baby. It’s also easily accessible for Uber and Uber Eats, and only about 20–25 minutes from Manhattan by Uber.

Positive: Le logement est très spacieux, bien équipé dans un petit quartier tranquille. L'hôte a été extraordinaire, très serviable, à l'écoute et nous a rendu service quand nous en avons eu besoin. Negative: Il y avait des travaux en cours juste derrière qui nous ont réveillé certains matins mais finalement ça a été avec les we et jours fériés et l'hôte a été tout de suite réactif. Nous avions peur du bruit des voisins du dessus comme nous l avions lu dans certains commentaires mais franchement ce n'était pas gênant et on ne les entendait même pas dans la chambre du fond.

Positive: Lovely apartment in Jersey City. Perfectly positioned for exploring the local area and New York city. Has great facilities for comfort and catering for yourself. Nice touches of having detergents required for every day living and breakfast goods. Host was communicative but not over bearing. Negative: Middle bedroom did get too warm, as it is in the middle of the apartment it doesn't have windows, when sharing with friends you need the door closed it becomes quite stifling. Lot of rubbish ( trash) in the front yard, not from the apartment so not their fault. Bags appeared daily and were often split with contents over the yard.

Lucas place was nice! Easy 45 minutes into the city on the PATH. Lots of cool amenities and nice space.

Comfortable stay, very good value for money and great host. Positive: We enjoyed a lovely stay. Our host was very supportive and provided assistance when we needed information. Appartment was very clean and there was additional cleaning service available. Breakfast was all right - pancakes, variety of oatmeals and flavoured coffees provided. Amenities in the apartment exceeded our expectations - very comfortably furnished and equipped. The apartment is conveniently located - NJ light-rail is nearby which makes PATH train station providing transfers to Manhattan in close range. As a matter of fact, the PATH station is in a walking distance (around 1,2 mile / 1,5 km) when you want to keep fit and prefer walking. Negative: Everything was really good, we found nothing to complain about.

Fantastic 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit out of the hustle and bustle of town Positive: Nice 20 min walk from the train, clean and tidy, lots of space for 4 adults, showers great and beds comfortable Negative: Not enough comfortable couches to sit on for 4, would have been good to have two x two seaters in there, you can hear people walking around upstairs, lucky it was only the last two day, they sounded like they arrived at 2am.

False advertisement - fake news - do not stay here! Positive: NOTHING.. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING Negative: DO NOT STAY, RENT, OR RESERVE THIS PROPERTY!! The parking was a farce, and first-come, first serve street parking is not dedicated parking as advertised! The thermostat was locked out at an insufferable 78 degrees! There was dog poop all over the rear patio! There was no breakfast found, which was also advertised. No washcloths found anywhere in the property. Upon the arrival of my family, cases, upon cases, upon cases of beer were found stored in the outside entryway, the refrigerator, and the hall storage closest. There was no remote to the television in the master bedroom, and the ancillary bedroom did not have a television. The control for the ceiling fan in the master bedroom was broken in 3 pieces upon arrival. This property should be an embarrassment to Booking.com and has obviously not been vetted by the company. If I were the owner or the property manager, I would be ashamed of being associated with such debauchery

We had a wonderful stay at the property with our family—it was comfortable and well-located. Positive: We arrived late at night because we wanted to make the most of our day in the city, and check-in wasn’t until the afternoon. After mistakenly going to the wrong apartment and noticing some suspicious activity in the area, we reached out to Luca, who promptly met us at the property. He was incredibly helpful and welcoming, and thanks to him, our stay was smooth and enjoyable. Negative: I would have preferred more information about the house. I didn’t know it had two apartments—reason I mistakenly went to the wrong apartment.

Great unit for our family of five. Close to NYC - just a 30 minute train ride.

First, we loved Luca. When I say we, I mean 2 grandmothers who have been friends for over 30 yrs and their 2 respective grandchildren. Lucan knew that and he prep the place with tons of Egos, hot chocolate, EmergenC to keep us hydrated, tons of pods for laundry and dishwasher. The kids appreciated him so much. We had such a great experience staying at this Airbnb in Jersey City! The location was incredibly convenient—just a quick drive or train ride into New York City, which made exploring super easy. The space itself was spotless, cozy, and beautifully kept. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely welcomed. Our host, Luca, was amazing—friendly, helpful, and incredibly quick to respond to any questions we had. He even accommodated both an early check-in and a late check-out, which made our trip so much smoother. It was truly the perfect place to stay, and we’d absolutely come back again!

There was a group of 4 of us and we were all able to sleep and be accommodated comfortably! Showers had great pressure and heat. Kitchen was nice and spacious. Luca went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. Recommend!

Luca was a great host. Instructions for entry, parking, and trash removal were clear. The place was clean and had everything we needed. The only downside is there were no washcloths/flannels. However, this wasn’t a big deal as we were easily able to purchase some near by. I would stay again and have recommended to friends and family.

Pros: -10-12 minute walk going to light rail - Clean place and comfy sheets - detergent soaps & dishwasher soaps are provided. - gated apartment, easy to find Cons: - Upstairs guests or tenants are too loud even beyond 12MN. - we cant control the AC, it tends to be hot in the middle of the night.

Overall the location and space is great. Is you are noise sensitive - this is not your place (basement apartment). Positive: Great Kitchen space with coffee, tea, waffles and oatmeal provided. The master bedroom and bathroom is spacious and light. Easy check in - check out. Walk to path is 20min to get to Manhattan. Negative: There is a lot of noise from the upper unit, when guests are walking or turning water on upstairs. The water heater and A/C is also noisy and located in the apartments hallway. There are tiny ants in the bathrooms and bedrooms that keep on coming out. The living room couch is very uncomfortable and full of stains. The second bedroom bed squeaks with every turn. The communication with the host seems to be automated or answered by AI (very bad English/ no full sentences).

Positive: Great location, convenient and w/in walking distance. Very spacious. However one of the bedrooms was a bit small..not much space to walk around. It was nicely furnished/and clean. Negative: The bathroom shower curtain was dirty/had mold on it. You can hear people upstairs walking over your head.

This house could have been a minimum of 7/10. Positive: Two (2) minutes drive from the Jersey city's boat line to visit the statue of liberty and Ellis Island. You can contemplate New York and New Jersey cities' skyscrapers from Jersey side. We went to Kung Fu Pho and Saigon Pho which are very good restaurants...... House: The beds and kitchen furniture are IKEA quality which is not bad. Negative: Check-in: When we arrived, the rental was not ready. The check-in was at around 3:45+ pm. We had to wait on the street for nearly 45 minutes. Breakfast: We had not made breakfasts that are provided (cereals and tea bags). Location: It is not an ok neighborhood. There were trashes scattering on sidewalk and street in front of the house. There are weeds that grow along its fence. My car's driver side was desecrated with trashes by someone for some reason. Other cars were not. I had to bring my car to a carwash. The parking is on the street (first comes first serves). House: There is a constant odor of insecticide. There are 2 spray bottles in the storage cabinet located in the hallway. The spray was still fresh at the some corners of the house where we could see dead insects, cockroaches, etc. I killed some insects that crawl on the floor. Floor: The floor got a lot of dirt and small hairs every where. Bathrooms: They had not been clean and disinfected. I had to spend 3 hours to clean them. The toilet bowls were the worse nightmare, there were clearly yellowish traces on the outside and going from the top to the bottom of the bowls. There were used pieces of toilet paper that were left under the sink's cabinet. There were yellowish lines on the wall of the 2 bathrooms. Towels, pillows, blankets: They were dirty (yellowish smirches with big black spots that look like mold). I had to wash some towels, pillow covers and blanket covers because I couldn't help myself ignoring them. We returned the house clean, in order and 1.5 hours before the check-out time but it was an unpleasant experience.

Great and highly recommended if you don't want to stay inside the Manhattan madness (but close to). Positive: Quiet area and well located to access to Manhattan and freeways. Apartment fully equipped with complete kitchen and washing machine/dryer (essential by the way, for economical and do-it-yourself type of travellers with small luggages). Host always very receptive despite we never met him in person. Negative: Street parking with the need of changing sides almost everyday (not the Host's fault though, that's how all the region works). Parking your own car is always a hassle and challenging. Fail by 10 min and get a $50 ticket for having your car parked on the wrong side...happened to me. Bed of the minor bedroom, squeaky. Structure of the house (basically wood and plaster walls) makes you hear the footsteps of the upper story guests.

All I have to say is that Luca's place was what we were looking for and Luca was very helpful and responsive with our questions and requests, definitely exceeded our expectations.

I booked for my sons family in this place 2beds w 2 bath.. - it’s close by nyc and host us attentive to my sons needs.

Space is updated and provided most amenities as specified. Luca the host was very responsive with our questions and needs. The listing does not tell you is that it is a basement apartment. It was damp and humid. ANTS everywhere. I understand that this may be the season for ants, but the fact that they’re were a minimum of 3 traps per room and an arsenal of sprays and poison did not leave us feeling like that place was safe for any child or animal or human. In addition the floors were filthy, the backyard space was a disaster, the closet was more like a storage space with crumbled linens, chairs, children’s furniture and shelves stuffed with pillows and blankets. 7 hangers for 2 rooms. Each person got 1 small bath towel and 1 hand towel per room. I asked Luca for 1 more each and he said we could wash and dry what we had. He did send more towels, I was told this was rare and I should “appreciate it”. Not good. We have lived and visited many cities. This is was not the best stay.

I had a pleasant stay at Luca’s place. The apartment was quite spacious and had an attached patio. All the amenities listed were accurate and Luca as a host was super attentive and quick to respond. The only issue I saw in the apartment was the number of ants we had in the apartment at all times due to the backyard patio. There were ant traps setup at various places in the apartment but they were proving to be rather unhelpful. Apart from that, I enjoyed my stay here.

This place was exactly as described. We stayed here and commuted to NYC. It is about a 25 minute walk to the Path. Honestly for someone who lives in the country, I didn’t think it was a bad walk. Plus we had four teenagers with us and they enjoyed the experience. If the walk is too long an Uber to the Path is about $14-20. The only issue we had was unfortunately an ant problem. Was just a bit annoying. But Luca responded very quickly to any questions and was very accommodating. Would stay here again.

Luca's communication with responding messages was okay. Stayed 4 days in his location for a mini vacation with fiance and 2 sons. Pros: Very Spacious, Fairly Clean, Private, Park in walking distance. Cons: Pet Hair on the floor throughout location. My kids socks had a great amount of pet hair on the bottom of them. As I am allergic to Dogs. This location has a serious pest problem with ANTS!!! THEY were everywhere. Ants were in the shower with you, in the bed with you, on the kitchen counters and even in our luggage with our clothes. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR LUGGAGE OR ANY BELONGINGS ON THE FLOOR!!! THEY WILL BE IN THEM!!! We had to become exterminators spraying ant spray the duration of our time there. He does not supply WASH CLOTHS. He only supplied 1 bath towel for each person. Which was only 4 towels. We had to purchase wash cloths and extra towels. Parking was horrible!!! We got a parking ticket. The area is misleading is not safe. Place only big enough for 2 couples. Trash in front.

We really enjoyed our stay at Luca's place. It was clean and spacious. Manhattan can be reached via short train rides or even the ferry from Liberty State Park. Luca was a great host, super friendly and very responsive - before and throughout our stay.

First the pros: 1. It was a nice, comfortable space for 5 adults. 2. It was very quiet. 3. It was clean- although the bug traps/bait were a little off-putting. 4. There was plenty of pots, silverware, glasses, etc. 5. The showers had plenty of hot water. 6. The beds were comfortable - but not luxurious. 7. We never felt unsafe. Now the cons (and the reasons why I will not give it a 5 star review): 1. Check out time at 9:00 am. This is really ridiculous. 2. The distance to the path trains is quite far (26 minute walk by GPS). 3. If you look out the back and to the sides, there is garbage and crap everywhere. Not a consistent neighborhood. 4. False advertising- no driveway parking space. The street was fine however. 5. Luca does not communicate well in English. 6. The worst however, was the lack of warmth. We were so cold. Even after complaining on the first night, the heat must have been programmed and we woke up freezing in the mornings. I would not stay again due to this.

Mooie ruime locatie met 2 badkamers met goede douche, een ruime keuken en zelfs een tuintje. Prima bedden. Je bent wel iets meer dan een half uur aan het reizen naar NYC, maar aan de andere kant is het ook wel leuk om op loopafstand bij Liberty State park te zitten en om af en toe een ferry ipv de trein te nemen of een keer New Jersey zelf in te gaan. De wijk zelf is flink aan het vernieuwen. Je moet even zoeken naar goede supermarkten, maar na een paar dagen weet je de weg goed te vinden.

Lucas place was nice. There were few minor things but overall, good experience. I’d love for him to add a full length mirror to the property. We’ll likely be back! :)

Our experience at Luca's place is quite divided. The shining spot of this whole experience were the hosts. I had to change the number of guests a few days before the trip, and Deni responded right away and was very understanding of the situation. On the day of arrival, we had some trouble getting into the unit and could not figure out how to unlock the door. Luca responded immediately with a very helpful picture to unlock the door. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by the heavy stomping and loud noises from the guests in the upstairs unit that lasted well into the night (beyond 3 am). There was also the constant sound of water running through the pipes in the wall about every 3 minutes. Needless to say, we did not get a good night rest during our stay at the unit.

Overall, a great stay. Easy street parking. Most everything is as pictured except the backyard looks a little different but no issue. One thing is that you currently need to communicate to the host whenever you want the thermostat changed, but the host is very responsive and helpful to anything you need.

Great stay overall with a few quirks. Luckily, Luca was very flexible and cummunicative. During check in forgot this was a basement/ground level unit and were trying to get into the upstairs unit for 5 minutes. Front door of the ground floor unit is under the front stairs of upper unit. One of the kids stayed on futon in the living room where upstairs guests were easily heard. Adjusting the Nest AC requires a PIN code that Luca can provide you. We unknowingly left the bathroom heater fan on (thinking it was an exhaust fan) making the whole bedroom somewhat toasty. Once we figured that out, the temp did not need to be adjusted. Beds are on the firm side but probably better for my back as it turned out. Master bedroom has access to a nice terrace space that could use some love but nice to have. Washer and drier access in hall bathroom is very nice too. This unit is well-situated with Lafeyette cafe and a vegan cafe a couple of blocks away. Downtown and Grove St less than a mile walk.

Luca was a good host since he always got back to me instantly upon receiving my text. Same thing with Deni. Kudos to Luca , a very responsible person. Wish you the best and hope to be in business again soon.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Luca's lovely home, hosted by Luca and Deni. From the moment we arrived, their hospitality and responsiveness left a lasting impression. The hosts, Luca and Deni, were incredibly attentive and quick to address any questions or concerns we had during our stay. The cleanliness of the place was truly impressive. Every corner of the home was spotless, making for a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The kitchen was exceptionally well-equipped, stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals and enjoy our time indoors. One of the highlights of the property was its convenient proximity to New York. Being so close to the city made exploring the area hassle-free. The convenience of parking added to the overall positive experience. Having a hassle-free parking option removed any stress associated with finding a suitable spot. What truly set Luca apart as a host was their willingness to assist even during late hours.

The location was perfect - it was a quick walk to the light rail which took us to the ferry/PATH train to get us into Manhattan. Liberty State Park is beautiful and a quick walk from the house as well. We felt very safe in the neighborhood. Luca and Deni were incredible hosts and very responsive. We highly recommend this house!

It clearly was ant season, though they had obviously sprayed and put out ant traps. We did not have a car which made getting places much more expensive. Otherwise the place was just as it was advertised. The showers were a dream! Instructions were thorough and concise. Was a good stay!

Just as described. Very responsive host! At first glance the neighborhood seemed somewhat unsafe and dirty. BUT we felt very safe! The area is all being renovated. They had an ant problem that was clearly trying to be maintained. Hopefully that will get taken care of. The house was VERY clean and well maintained. We loved our stay and had no worries about anything. We will return again!

Great flat and matched the description. Very clean and tidy. We were looking for a base for a few days to explore the downtown area and this was just doable although we spent a lot of money on Ubers. Neighbourhood felt a touch unsafe at night. Hosts were extremely responsive and quick to reply when we needed anything

Amazing place to stay near NYC. Little bit of a long walk to subway. 22 min walk to subway access in a great downtown area with great food and grocery locations. We walked the first day and used Lyft the other days for about $10 per ride each way. Great host and overall very satisfied!

Nous avons apprécié la disponibilité de Luca lors de notre installation et sa gentillesse. Toujours près à aider et à nous donner ses conseils . L’appartement est tout près de Liberty State Park où la vue sur Manhattan est magnifique et l’accès à Ellis Island et Liberty Island est tres facile . Accès à la station de Tram Liberty State Park à 5-10min et au Path à 25 min . Quartier calme.

We had a great time in NJ, everything was clean and tidy, and easy access to transport to NYC. And the house had everything we needed for our stay. Our host was super helpful and communicative. Would recommend😁

Great apartment. Newly updated and very clean. Host had great communication. Street parking was available right in front of the condo. Location was perfect for us because we were attending a wedding nearby. But it wasn’t necessarily a neighborhood I’d be comfortable walking in alone at night.

Overall this air bnb was well done. It was very nicely updated and the wine from Luca was a sweet gift. Some recommendations would be to provide extra towels, blankets and linens, there wasn’t even a throw blanket for the couch. And/or to unlock the thermostat. The combination provides guests little ability to regulate the temperature. Little things like providing 2-ply toilet paper, face wash and washcloths would be appreciated. Yes it did have the basic requirements but was very sparsely stocked and lacked some comforts.

The place was clean and nice enough but hardly equipped and nothing like the photos. There was nowhere for us to sit outside. The 2nd room wasn’t even prepped and we had to wait 3 hours for him to show up to make the bed. The pictures show another room that doesn’t even exist in this house. The master bedroom didn’t have a TV as pictured. With a price tag of around $650 for only 18 hours of time, I expected much more amenities. The price should have been cut in half.

Amazing host and beautiful place.

Lucas was very nice, friendly and generous. train is about 5 minutes walking, the bus is right across the street. Small market and pharmacy a block away. Great location. Very clean and cute place. Cons were, lots of mosquitos, but Lucas said he would cut down tree to fix problem, and not sound proof apartment.
